She was fiercely protective of all of us and they're was not way we could bring more cats into the house.

Your cats are very fortunate to have such a good cat friendly family like yours!! I am perpetually scared of Fidget ending up on the roads, but where we are the garden is enclosed, so he very rarely goes anywhere near the street, so it’s not so bad. He gets very grumpy if he can’t go outside, even in the pouring rain!
Katie does fine eating wet food; she just doesn’t eat the kibble any more. She’s lost her teeth gradually, a few at a time, over a long period, so I guess she just adapted each time she lost more. She’s always been tiny though, she looks the same now as she did ten years ago!Tinkhttp://masterofathousandthings.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655647507639114810.post-62062836806330576582011-06-18T21:45:22.296+01:002011-06-18T21:45:22.296+01:00First off, thank you SO much for linking up my Cat...First off, thank you SO much for linking up my Caturday posts. That was a lovely surprise.

Reading all about your pets gave me such respect for your family. The cats I've shown on my blog are the only ones I've ever had -- I had to wait until I moved away from my parents, as they never allowed us to have any (even if my dad loves them every bit as much as I do). Even more respect goes to people who've done nothing but accept rescues. ♥

The stories about kitties being struck by cars just breaks my heart and is the primary reason my cats have (and always will be) indoor-only. I know some cats just will NOT put up with staying indoors but I couldn't imagine letting any of mine out. :( I've heard too many nightmare stories about pets lost because of cars and poisoning. . .

Thank you so much for sharing your kitties with us. I can tell how much of an impact they've had on you -- and vice versa.

Before I forget, how/what does Katie eat without teeth? Miranda recently lost one of hers and while she doesn't seem to be struggling with it, I'm constantly looking for ways to help plump her up. Like Katie, Miranda is all fur and very little else. :(Contessahttp://wypad.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655647507639114810.post-72597534924921172142011-06-18T17:04:15.329+01:002011-06-18T17:04:15.329+01:00Hooray for kittehs! When she watered the fern bush she heard mewling. She found three kittens. B/c she touched them, their mother rejected them so we took them in. I remember how my brother and I used to sleep downstairs and the kittens would be racing all around stepping on us and licking us. We gave Spencer away and kept DJ and Tracy. Tracy had an unfortunate accident w/the garage door near Valentine's Day; I was so devastated and my mom felt bad. DJ we kept and she became an outdoor cat and got pregnant. We would feed her and the all the Toms would come around also. When she had her babies, we gave her and them all to loving homes.Kepanienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655647507639114810.post-9923514443240529232011-06-18T16:44:00.649+01:002011-06-18T16:44:00.649+01:00It's so lovely to hear the stories of your pet...It's so lovely to hear the stories of your pets, and they all look so loved and fluffy! We think he's about 10, but we're not sure.Tinkhttp://masterofathousandthings.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2655647507639114810.post-76465621010892095762011-06-18T14:07:16.257+01:002011-06-18T14:07:16.257+01:00Ahhh, what a lot of lovely cats you have had. The eldest is 13 and we thought it was her time when she started having nosebleeds but she recovered and all is well.HappyElasticnoreply@blogger.com
