Well, it is a work in progress...

No real crafting time for me this week, as preparation for the weekend's LARP event is taking up a lot of my time! But I have got time to show you something currently in progress for this weekend.

Henna tattoos! I made the somewhat ridiculous decision last year, that my new character would have tattoos in elvish script running down both forearms. I spent a lot of time working out what they should say, and finding a program on the net that would translate them into proper Tolkien Elvish script. The converter I used is here. I also used this website to help me understand the Elvish script properly.

I am very lucky to have a kind and understanding boyfriend who is willing to spend what seems like hours painstakingly applying the henna to my arms (a very uncomfortable process, as I end up twisted around in all sorts of uncomfortable positions).

The right arm is the name of my group, Port Reybard Dockers. The left arm is something of a LARP in-joke, as the phrase translates to Your Phys Rep Is Unacceptable. My friends know the translation, but most others at the game don't, and we have a small chuckle whenever we see others in rubbish kit, and gesture knowingly at my arm.

For other, more yarn related WIPs, Tami's got the list of today's posts!
