Just a quick update from me today, as I'm rather busy packing and preparing for a week in a field! I'm off to a LRP event on Wednesday, and won't be back until Tuesday, so there'll be no update from me next week.
I'm quite pleased to report that despite the hot weather, I've picked up the Cwtch Shawl again and am motoring through the border.
It's really starting to be a bit of a squeeze on the needles, but I've not got many rows left before it's done so I shall cope.
The bright sunlight makes it look purple. Don't be fooled. |

It's hard to get a decent shot of the border because it's so scrunched up, but I had a go. I've got about five rows left to finish off the hearts, then seven more rows for the edging. I'm still loving the yarn; it slides across the needles so easily and the stitches look beautiful.

Your shawl is looking great and should be easy for you to complete. Enjoy your time away.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. If it's not purple, what color is it?
ReplyDeleteit is looking great, the border is going well :)
ReplyDeleteIt's dusky pink
ReplyDeleteIt really is hard to see when it's all scrunched up on needles. Bet you can't wait to get it done and see properly spread out. I'm glad Vanessa already asked about the colour :)
ReplyDeleteAdore the color you are using! You aren't considering giving it away are you?? ;) ;)
ReplyDelete*smiles and cheer*
You are always so quick and skilled at shawls. What a pretty color.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely color for the shawl. I am sure it is going to be stunning after it is off the needles. Mine looks like that too on the needles and I was a bit concerned about the way it was rolling. Seeing yours gives me more confidence that all is well.
ReplyDeleteLooking great, can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteLooking great :)
ReplyDeleteLooking good so far, it'll be lovely when finished. And you're right, the stitch definition on the yarn is great.
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you - it's almost done! Love the color way - I'm very fond of lavenders.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well in the field. Loving the shawl, anxious to see it progress
