Year of Projects 3 - 29th September update

Three months in! This year is flying by at an astonishing rate. Luckily for me, my knitting mojo has returned and I've been racing through my latest projects.

$5 in San Fransisco is progressing well. I made a couple of modifications to the pattern as written, to improve the fit, which necessitated several rounds of threading a lifeline, removing the needle and trying it on. I'm glad I took the time over that though, as it looks like it's going to fit really well when I'm done.

I am also absolutely loving my colour choices. The bright teal against the dark navy is working beautifully (not that you can tell from the photo above!). It's Cascade 220 in colourways 8891 and 9568. I can see now why there are over 108,000 projects in this yarn on Ravelry! It's fantastic. So easy to knit with. And now I know I can easily get my hands on it by shopping at Loop London, well, I can see it featuring a lot more in my future knitting plans!

Incidentally, I am planning a trip to Loop on Wednesday as I happen to be in London for my exam; I hope nothing accidentally falls into my bag while I am there.

  2. Love the colour combo of your latest knit, it looks like it's going to be a good fit, I also like the sound of that yarn........I may have to take a little look at LOOP online and I have a sneaking suspicion that something may well fall into my basket too!!

  3. Love the colours your using and good job on making adjustments to give yourself a great fit, I'm not sure I could. Looking forward to seeing what falls in your basket in London. I've only ever used Pavi Yarns for Cascade in the UK so I'll have to try out Loop, thanks :)

  4. What is the purpose of going to such an awesome place of nothing follows you home?! Hehe :)

  5. Your top is coming along brilliantly and the colours look perfect. I think it would be a travesty if nothing jumped into your bag. Good luck in your exam.

I've never got out of a knitting store empty handed :) Cascade is lovely. Just today I was looking at a pattern book for just Cascade 220 - baby knits though!

I had to laugh when I read "$5 in San Francisco". Ain't a whole lot you can get for $5 around these parts.
