Year of Projects - 4th September

I have returned! After a week in a very muddy field (which was awesome, despite the mud) I have just about re-adjusted to reality and am almost back in a crafting frame of mind.

I'm very glad Blogger decided to post my scheduled post last week, and very grateful to you all for your comments and input on my pattern swapping dilemma. I read most of your comments on Monday when I finally checked my emails at the end of the event, and it really made me smile to see so many of you getting involved.

It seems that the overwhelming opinion of you all is that Eleonora is the pattern of choice for adding to my list in place of the Sapphire Shrug, so I have made the decision and updated my list here.

As I've been away from home for a while, I haven't actually done any knitting or crochet since my last WIP Wednesday update! So no photos of progress here I'm afraid. Plans for the week ahead include winding my second skein of Knit Picks Shimmer for the Jane Austen shawl, as I've suddenly realised we're in September already and the wedding I want to wear it too is less than a month away!

Check back in on Wednesday and I might have some actual progress to share.

  3. That shawl is gorgeous and the colour is lovely, I'm sure if you are anything like me you'll get it done in time, although if you are actually anything like me you may be sewing the ends in on the morning of the wedding!

  8. Yay! The pattern I voted for won and made it onto your list. If I was younger and smaller, I would knit myself an Eleonora.  Happy wishes for your shawl project--I hope your pattern gives you less fits than mine did last week.

  9. Welcome home.  Knitting in the mud would be difficult.  Hope you had a great week.
